The Web’s Voted No 1 Internet Marketing Service

So you need to build a website, huh? Good. Glad to hear it. Here's a quick and easy way to get yourself started.

Step 1: How Do I Get My Own Domain Name?

If you don't know what a domain name is allow me to give you a brief example. Have you ever heard of aol.com? Well that you know what a domain name is. AOL.com is a domain name. It is the name of a website and it's what you type into the address bar on your web browser.

So just remember when you're choosing your domain name make certain that it's relevant to the business you'll be promoting or whatever the topic is going to be about. A lot of marketers like to base their domain name on a particular keyword or words that they are targeting. This has been known to be very effective when ranking in the search engines.

Step 2: How Do I Register A Domain Name?

I'm glad you asked. Because this is the next step in getting your website up and running and ready to rock 'n roll. This too is also very simple once you know what you're doing.

You're basically going to go to the website of one of the many domain name registrars available and follow their process. Their website will have plenty of that explanation for what you should do so I will not go into any further details. Some of the more popular registrars are as follows: namecheap.com, 1and1.com, GoDaddy.com.

Step 3: How Do I Pick A Web Host and Get Started?

The simplest definition I can think of for a web host when trying to explain it to those who don't already know is basically what you can consider a home for your website. This is the place that will store all the files for your website or blog and by paying them a monthly fee they will allow the entire World Wide Web to view your pages and posts. This is basically the equivalent of renting virtual office space. The most popular hosting company available today is host gator at hostgator.com

Step 4: How Do I Design My Webpages?

The best way to go about designing your webpages is to find someone who's been there and done that and learn from what they have to teach you. There are various books out there that will show you simple HTML techniques and teach you how to use templates to create quick and easy webpages for your site. The best way to go would be to pick up a popular e-book on the subject and follow the step-by-step instructions presented in said ebook.

Step 5: How Do I Create Content For My Website?

The quick and easy answer is get writing people. This may sound a little blunt but in all honesty the majority of your web content creation will be in the form of the written word.

You'll also want to add pictures and possibly even videos to your site so consider that as an option as well. But seriously find the topics that you'll website will be about and start writing about them. As you finish each article create a new page and post it to your

website.

I think this is a good article for beginners, Walter. About six months ago I didn't know anything about having my own domain, and these points that you make completely overwhelmed me, because I couldn't find anything that explained them simply.

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for commenting. Yes this article is mainly for newcomers.

Surprisingly many newcomers don’t bother to learn the basic skills for this matter.

After a while they are getting frustrated and quit. I believe there are still a lot of people approaching Internet marketing and don’t realize, they have to properly learn the skills to know what they are doing and enjoying it as well. Have a wonderful day.

Hi Hilda,

Thank you for the question and watching the video.

Great to hear you did all that before. There are no doubts you have had an intention to accomplish something on the Internet.

There is actually a minimal expense involved to get your created website online.

The cost for a domain name which will be around $ 10.00 for one year. It has to be paid to the registrar, the company which you choose, to register the domain name for you.

Plus the cost for hosting: this is approximately $ 7.00 a month. It will be paid to the company you choose to host your website with.

As for the program itself, as presented in the video, there are really no charges.

When you sign up you will get a great eBook, a surprise bonus and additional weekly information absolutely for free. Everything is truly very well explained and there are no charges for that.

Desire this helps Hilda. Enjoy your day.
